NEW YORK -- Application Security, Inc., the leading provider of database security solutions for the enterprise, today announced that the United States Air Force will be implementing its DbProtect database software security suite as part of a best-of-breed, multi-vendor security software solution deployed by Xacta, a subsidiary of Telos Corporation.
The implementation is part of the U.S. Air Forces development of the Application Software Assurance Center of Excellence (ASACoE), which is tasked with establishing application security best practices across Air Force departments. Other vendors involved include Fortify Software, Inc. and IBM/Watchfire. Cigital will take the lead with Xacta in providing organizational and risk assessments under the contract.
