SpamTitan Technologies Announces Major New Release Of Web Filter

Release 3.50 includes advanced reporting capabilities and real-time monitoring dashboard

Boston, MA and Galway, Ireland – 15 November 2010 - SpamTitan Technologies, the makers of powerful yet easy-to-manage spam and web filtering software, today announced a major new release of WebTitan, its powerful web filtering solution for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Release 3.50 includes a range of enhancements including advanced reporting capabilities and increased management flexibility allowing for data to be shared quickly between IT and the HR department as well as other management functions so that issues can be dealt with as required. This increased reporting capability along with the various installation process improvements make installing, setting up and using WebTitan easier than ever. Taken together with the fact that all updates and backups are automated, this means management overheads are kept to a minimum.

WebTitan is a comprehensive web filtering solution providing customers with a powerful, easy-to-manage and cost-effective way to ensure online employee activity is protected from threats and adheres to corporate internet policies. In a 5-star review by SC Magazine earlier this year, WebTitan was described as simple and straightforward with intuitive administration and an easy-to-use web GUI. They also found WebTitan had a lot of policy flexibility which has been augmented further in this latest release.

“WebTitan’s new advanced reporting capability allows users to access more granular-level reporting,” said Ronan Kavanagh, CEO of SpamTitan Technologies. “Our customers can now generate and schedule over 1000 report types - from Web browsing activity by customer or by domain to time spent online or bandwidth consumption. Having such a comprehensive, flexible and easy-to-use reporting tool gives customers the additional benefit of improved visibility and control,” he added.

WebTitan release 3.50 offers increased management flexibility such as the ability to drill down into reports for detailed analysis of data. The reporting delivery options have also been expanded. For example, it is now also possible to export reports to PDF format as well as CSV file for further extrapolation if required.

The new dashboard monitoring function provides customers with an at-a-glance summary of browsing in real-time. It is an extremely effective tool for administrators allowing them to quickly determine trends and provide a timely response to any issues.

Pricing & Availability

Available immediately, WebTitan ISO and WebTitan for VMware 3.50 costs from $850. WebTitan licences are banded offering greater flexibility and based on the number of IP addresses accessing the internet concurrently.

A free 30 day demo license is available for download at http://www.webtitan.com/download. All WebTitan customers with a current license can move to WebTitan 3.50 FREE of charge.
