Ounce Labs Reports Record Q2 Sales

Ounce Labs announced that it closed the second quarter of 2007 with record sales and revenue for the sixth quarter in a row

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Ounce Labs(TM), the industry leader in software risk analysis, today announced that it closed Q2 2007 with record sales and revenue for the sixth quarter in a row. As a result of increased market demand for solutions that eliminate business risk caused by software security vulnerabilities, the company added significant new customers across multiple industries and achieved a 300% increase in quarterly sales.

Focused on providing solutions that enable organizations to strengthen application security, Ounce's solutions protect confidential information and verify compliance with both internal policies and industry mandates. Ounce expanded its presence within the government and commercial markets and also expanded deployments with several existing customers.

Ounce continues to demonstrate its investment in technology innovation, announcing Ounce 5.0 that helps organizations to reduce the potential for security breaches by making it possible for enterprises to identify, prioritize and eliminate application vulnerabilities across their entire software portfolio. Ounce 5.0 is the only source code analysis solution available on the market today that provides compliance with regulations including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and standards such as the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) OWASP and Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE).

Other Q2 highlights include:

  • Ounce was awarded patent #7240332 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark

Office for their April 2003 filing entitled "Method and system for

    detecting vulnerabilities in source code."

  • Ounce added one of the world's foremost consultants on application

security, Dinis Cruz, as its new Director of Advanced Technology.

  • Ounce Labs was named to SD Times Magazine's annual 'SD Times 100' as

the leader in the Security category for the second year in a row.

  • Continued industry recognition as evidenced by a positive review of

Ounce Labs products in Network Computing magazine, which validated Ounce's

claim that its software produces no false positive results.

  • An enthusiastic reception from the audience at the Gartner IT and

Security Summit, where Ounce co-founder and CTO Jack Danahy was joined on

stage by Anthony Gerkis of Accenture to discuss "Incorporating Source Code

Analysis Into The Software Development Lifecycle."
