MarkMonitor Extends Trust Guard

MarkMonitor announced the availability of Trust Guard for Financial Services

SAN FRANCISCO -- MarkMonitor®, the leader in online corporate identity protection, today announced the availability of Trust Guard for Financial Services, a private-label desktop application that provides consumers with Zero Hour Protection™ against phishing attacks and other forms of online fraud. Trust Guard demonstrated 97 percent accuracy in detecting phishing attacks during extensive testing with a leading ISP. The application enables financial institutions to deliver a critical layer of highly effective, branded consumer protection at the browser level.

Trust Guard performs real-time heuristics and contextual analysis to determine whether a Web page is safe and authentic, or whether it exhibits fraudulent characteristics or is unsafe for e-commerce. It also protects consumers from known fraudulent sites via MarkMonitor’s comprehensive block list. If a site is suspected of fraud, Trust Guard immediately warns the user or blocks access to the site. The attack information is then analyzed by the institution or MarkMonitor’s Security Operations Center and, if confirmed fraudulent, broadcast to all other Trust Guard users. Within seconds of an attack, Trust Guard can provide Zero Hour Protection to potentially millions of online consumers.

Trust Guard for Financial Services is available immediately as a stand-alone application, or it can be easily integrated into existing security applications or toolbars. Institutions can customize Trust Guard with their own product name, logo and custom text, and distribute the easy-to-use solution directly to their customers.

When combined with MarkMonitor’s Fraud Prevention services, organizations also benefit from MarkMonitor's 24x7 Security Operations Center, which continuously monitors millions of suspicious events daily and detects over 10,000 unique phishing attacks per month.
