Rick Howard

Rick Howard is Chief Security Officer for Palo Alto Networks, where he is responsible for internal security of the company as well as developing the Threat Intelligence Team to support the next-generation security platform. He previously served as Chief Information Security Officer for TASC, the GM of iDefense, the Security Operations Center Director for Counterpane, and the Commander for the US Army's Computer Emergency Response Team. He holds a Master of Computer Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate School and an engineering degree from the US Military Academy. He also taught computer science at the Academy from 1990 to 1995. He is the executive editor for two books, Cyber Fraud: Tactics, Techniques and Procedures and Cyber Security Essentials.
