Jonathan Rosenberg is responsible for the architecture and overall technology direction of Cisco's collaboration portfolio, and is focused on evolving Cisco's technology to address the market transitions in cloud and mobile.

Rosenberg is a widely recognized technologist. He is most well-known for his primary authorship of the SIP protocol and many of his technologies-SIP, STUN, TURN, ICE, and SIMPLE-are now the foundations of modern IP telecommunications. He is the fourth most impactful author of Internet standards of all time according to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). In 2002 he was named one of the most innovative young technologists in the world by Technology Review magazine. He also was named a "Top Supergeek" by CRN and won a Pulver Von Pioneer award for contributions to the VoIP industry. In 2015 he was presented with the Ohio University Strowger Award for transformational innovation in the telecommunications industry.
