John Anderson is a Principal Security Consultant for Trustwave Spiderlabs, an advanced security team focused on penetration testing, incident response, and application security. John has been working full-time in penetration testing since 2003 for a wide range of commercial and public-sector clients including through the UK government CHECK scheme. Prior to this, John worked for several Internet service providers doing network design/build/management, as well as penetration testing of the existing customer base and in-house networks. John has published or contributed toward a number of open source development projects, including John the Ripper, Apache, Synscan, DNSAdmin-NG.
