Jim Simpson has been working in technology and cybersecurity for more than two decades, with experience in public sector, ecommerce, and FTSE100 companies before moving vendor-side at Cylance in 2017. He worked in threat research as a Principal Threat Researcher at Cylance / BlackBerry Cybersecurity, before becoming Director of Threat Intelligence. Jim joined Searchlight Cyber as Director of Threat Intelligence in 2022 for a new challenge in undertaking threat research on the Dark Web. His expertise includes SOC and MDR, incident response, malware analysis, threat hunting, and threat modeling.
