Chris Mastrangelo serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Grasshopper Bank, overseeing the bank's BSA/AML, vendor management, and compliance functions. Chris was previously part of the Federal Reserve's FedNow initiative, helping to enable the fintech ecosystem for the adoption of real-time payments. At the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Chris helped lead and grow the regional and community bank regulatory supervision function, focusing on enterprise risk management and innovation and strategy for a community bank and fintech partnerships. Prior to the Federal Reserve, Chris worked as a supervisory examiner at the U.S. Treasury's Office of Thrift Supervision and was a college hockey referee in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Chris graduated from Bryant University and lives in Massachusetts with his family.
