Bryson Medlock is a Threat Manager with the Cyber Research Unit at Connectwise. He is responsible for leading a team in researching threats and intelligence and turning that into content that detects threats using the Perch platform. His primary research focus is reverse engineering malware.

Bryson has 22 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to Perch, he served as the Lead SOC Trainer at Alert Logic and as a Linux Systems Administrator at HostGator. Bryson is an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).

In his spare time, Bryson organizes capture the flag (CTF) competitions, and runs a Twitch channel called CTF and Cigars, where he reviews cigars while discussing CTFs, hacking, and other security topics. He is also developing a hacking-themed video game and has four children, two of whom are pursuing careers in the technology field.
