PRESS RELEASE

BOSTON - November 19, 2008 - Rapid7 LLC, the leading provider of Unified Vulnerability Management solutions, today announced that it has expanded its executive team with two additional industry experts, a move consistent with its growth plan and recent additional funding. Corey E. Thomas has joined the Company as the new vice president of marketing and Eric Dougherty has been named vice president of partners and alliances. Working with the existing team, Thomas and Dougherty will continue to expand Rapid7's market leadership and increase global awareness of the Company's flagship products and services.

Formerly a marketing team leader at Microsoft Corporation, Thomas will focus on implementing strategies for product management, product marketing, and lead generation and management at Rapid7. He will be instrumental in broadening the Company's global presence in target markets and further driving demand for NeXpose, Rapid7's solution for vulnerability management and assessment of Web applications, databases and operating systems, and networks.

Thomas has more than 12 years experience leading marketing and technology initiatives at top global companies. Prior to joining Rapid7, he led product marketing and business development as vice president of marketing at Parallels, a global leader in virtualization and automation solutions. Thomas also held a number of leadership positions in the Microsoft Server and Tools division, launching the worldwide availability of 2005 SQL Server and steering product planning behind Microsoft's data platform and storage strategy.

Dougherty will leverage his extensive background in channel strategy and development to formally expand Rapid7's partner program and increase the Company's traction throughout channel initiatives. Meeting with existing partners and targeting new markets, Dougherty will focus on showcasing the value Rapid7's vulnerability management tools bring to partners and the benefits customers experience through these programs.

With a pedigree in channel strategies, Dougherty comes to Rapid7 after heading up Americas Channel Sales for Acronis, a provider of storage management solutions for disaster recovery and virtualization applications. Dougherty built all aspects of the Acronis channel strategy, program, and organization from the ground up. After beginning his sales career with PC-maker Leading Edge Products, Dougherty spent more than six years at Axis Communications, ultimately serving as general manager for the Americas. He has also held senior sales management and channel development roles at a variety of expansion stage and start-up software companies.

"Corey and Eric bring a tremendous amount of expertise to our team. They are exceedingly talented professionals with proven track records of delivering results and driving business growth," said Mike Tuchen, president and chief operating officer at Rapid7. "I'm thrilled to be working with Corey again, and look forward to working with Eric as we build on our extraordinary customer and partner success. With their leadership and our market leading technology, we look forward to bringing our solution to more customers and markets."

Vulnerability management has become a necessity for every organization with networks, computers, and application software, particularly those facing compliance mandates such as PCI, HIPAA, and SCADA. Rapid7's NeXpose comprehensively scans the entire IT infrastructure to track, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities. Companies benefit by separating real threats from massive noise through NeXpose's prioritized remediation plans and clearly understand the set of vulnerabilities that represent the largest risk to the business.

About Rapid7 Rapid7 is a leader in vulnerability management and compliance, delivering a single unified solution across an organization's entire infrastructure. Rapid7's NeXpose is the only solution that includes support for web applications, databases, operating systems, and network devices in a single system. NeXpose uncovers "hidden" threats that other systems cannot find, while at the same time separating these real threats from excessive "false positive" noise common to most vulnerability management systems. Organizations, including Black & Decker, Trader Joe's, Florida State University, the New York Times, and the City of Philadelphia, continually rely on Rapid7 to mitigate risk and remain compliant.
