PRESS RELEASE
Brno, September the 30th, 2010 - TrustPort is launching its new product line of security software for personal computers. While the existing portfolio included two alternative products, the new product range comprises three security products, each offering a different level of protection. The products are named TrustPort Antivirus 2011, TrustPort Internet Security 2011, and TrustPort Total Protection 2011. At the same time, TrustPort is introducing new product bundles for securing of entire computer networks, under the umbrella title TrustPort Security Elements.
TrustPort has adapted to an established model, where manufacturers offer three alternative security solutions, side by side. In the context of this model, TrustPort Antivirus offers reliable basic antivirus protection; TrustPort Internet Security adds internet protection, personal firewall and parental lock; TrustPort Total Protection includes all of the above plus encryption and data shredding. The new product line features a brand new user interface, resident and internet protection acceleration, optimized update methods, and a number of other enhancements.
TrustPort portfolio for corporate customers underwent a fundamental change, too. Vast majority of companies use a variety of information technologies, merged into a single computer network. TrustPort Security Elements are the solution, tailored to this starting point. The customer can choose a variant of the solution according to the scale and composition of their computer network. TrustPort Security Elements have four levels, ranging from traditional protection of endpoint computers, right up to advanced network protection at both the entry point and end point.
TrustPort Security Elements Basic protects individual endpoint computers, while allowing them to be remotely managed and updated. TrustPort Security Elements Advanced protects not only endpoint computers, but also file servers, where important company data is stored. TrustPort Security Elements Premium extends the previous level of security to include advanced antivirus and antispam protection at the entry point. TrustPort Security Elements Ultimate offers all of the above plus web filtering and data encryption.
"The new product range meets the requirements of our customers and partners," explains Vladislav Nemec, Chief Executive Officer at TrustPort. "The choice of three different antivirus products with different scales of security coverage represents nowadays a known and expected standard. In addition, our customers can better compare our and competing products. TrustPort Antivirus 2011, TrustPort Internet Security 2011, and TrustPort Total Protection 2011 will be soon joined by TrustPort USB Antivirus 2011, designed for the protection of portable media, which will enter the market in the following weeks.
Users of TrustPort Antivirus 2010 and TrustPort PC Security 2010 need not be afraid about losing their license. Their product will continue to be updated and supported until their license expiration. "Customers who purchased older products during August and September of this year, will be entitled to a free upgrade to the new version," added Marcela Parolkov, Sales Director at TrustPort.
