Sourcefire Hires Managing Director Of Asia Pacific Operations

Snort creator appoints Ammar Hindi to oversee business development

COLUMBIA, Md., June 8, 2009 " Open source innovator and Snort' creator, Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in Cyber Security, today announced that Ammar Hindi has joined the company as the Managing Director of Asia Pacific operations. In this position, Hindi will oversee corporate operations across the region, including sales, business development and strategic marketing activities.

Hindi has more than 15 years of experience in sales and management positions launching Asia Pacific business initiatives. Prior to joining Sourcefire, Hindi was the managing director for Asia Pacific operations at Ipanema Technologies, where he developed and executed the sales and marketing strategy responsible for launching into Australia, Southeast Asia and Japan. Previously, Hindi served as managing director for Asia Pacific operations at Micromuse, where he expanded operations into the regional telecommunication and finance industries.

Sourcefire' currently has sales operations around the globe, leveraging both a direct sales force and an indirect channel partner strategy.
