PRESS RELEASE

Wokingham, UK - 18th December 2008 - Open Source Innovator and SNORT(r) creator Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in Enterprise Threat Management, today announced that it is has significantly expanded its channel partner network in EMEA, enabling the company to further grow its business in the international market.

New partners include; Group IB in Russia, BT Cybernetworks in France, Naizak in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Vistorm in the UK, Calyx in Ireland, Integralis in Sweden, IT Cube in Germany and Axians in The Netherlands, who are all leaders in their respective markets. Sourcefire is particularly attractive to these companies because the Sourcefire 3D(r) System is not a commodity security product and this in itself presents the channel with the opportunity to sell value-add services and the opportunity to deliver Sourcefire's solution as a managed service to the customer.

Anthony Perridge, EMEA Channel Director for Sourcefire comments: "We are on track with our targets for adding new channel partners, and enjoy the full backing of the Sourcefire senior management team."

"When a partner looks at adding a new vendor to their portfolio, quite a considerable investment is required. This often includes evaluating the solution, training the technical and sales teams before going to market and depending on the length of the sales cycle, the partner might not see a return on investment for six to twelve months. Therefore, when partners do adopt a new vendor they have to be absolutely convinced of the market opportunity. It's clear that Sourcefire offers this market opportunity based on the number of new partners signing up to the Sourcefire channel programme."

"BT Cybernetworks' technical centre conducted a detailed evaluation of Sourcefire's solution and it has proven to be the most robust in the market in terms of security, versatility, flexibility and administration," comments Stanislas Petit, Head of Marketing and Partners at BT Cybernetworks, Sourcefire's new partner in France.

"Integralis has a strong security focus, which Sourcefire fits into perfectly." Adds Rikard Kullenberg, Sales Manager for Integralis in Sweden, "Sourcefire's historical background in Snort and innovative commercial solutions in the IPS marketplace create a compelling solution for our Enterprise Customers, where Integralis acts as Security Advisors. In an ever-evolving threat environment, we at Integralis are focused on combining our competencies in security with best-of-breed solutions for our customers and Sourcefire fits very well into this strategy."

Sourcefire offers comprehensive, hands-on sales and technical training to new and existing partners to ensure that they have all the tools necessary to deliver a first-class service. Sourcefire views the channel as an extension to its business, recognising the importance for partners to be able to demonstrate, evaluate and manage an end-user consistently with Sourcefire.
