BOSTON " February 24, 2010 " IT security and data protection firm Sophos today announced that global PC maker Lenovo will operate as a Sophos global channel partner by offering Sophos security and data protection technology bundles with new Lenovo Think-branded PCs to corporate customers. Lenovo will also promote Sophos's threat protection solution.

This alliance extends a longstanding relationship between Lenovo and Utimaco, a data encryption vendor acquired by Sophos in 2009, that integrated SafeGuard Encryption technology with Lenovo's ThinkVantage Technologies productivity tools.
