SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Anchiva Systems, a manufacturer of Internet

gateway security systems that protect against spyware, spam and viruses using patent- pending

ASIC technology for unmatched performance, announced today that the Anchiva-1000 Content

Security Appliance has earned the anti-virus certifications offered by ICSA Labs for Internet

gateway solutions. ICSA Labs, an independent division of global information security specialist

Cybertrust, is the global standard for security product certifications.

The gateway is a critical point of entry for Internet traffic,” said George Japak, vice president at ICSA Labs. “The Anchiva-1000 content security appliance has proven its ability to meet our demanding tests that measure product reliability and protection against malicious, self-replicating traffic.”

The ICSA Labs’ gateway anti-virus certification was developed from comprehensive analysis of security-related risks likely to be encountered by the product. This process, representing two certifications, includes extensive testing of the anti-malware product's ability to detect common and "in-the-wild" viruses contained within incoming or outgoing traffic. The Anchiva Systems Enterprise Content Security Appliance earned ICSA Labs certification for the industry’s most common Internet protocols: SMTP, HTTP, POP3 and FTP.

“Recognition by ICSA Labs affirms that our new technology and architecture provides the highest quality security protection against cyber threats at the Internet gateway,” said Ray Wei, co-founder, president and CEO, Anchiva Systems. “Our integrated platform and near-gigabit line rate performance offers customers in-depth protection at the highest performing rates to increase business efficiency and continuity.”
