MILFORD, Conn. -- To help companies improve their risk mitigation posture for 2007, Perimeter eSecurity, the only provider of complete eSecurity on demand, announced today that it will provide free vulnerability scans now through March 2, 2007. This free on demand service starts with a complimentary scan of a company’s IT environment for thousands of potential vulnerabilities followed by a detailed report presented by a live security expert to help companies identify areas where they are most exposed.

“Free network assessments are hardly new but, unlike other companies, Perimeter eSecurity adds the vital ingredient of having the results reviewed by a seasoned security expert who can discuss issues, answer security questions, provide technical advice, and lead the user through known remediation techniques, helping them to prioritize threats to their business and avoid time wasted on non-critical issues,” said Andy Greenawalt, CTO, Perimeter eSecurity. “Our experienced security team can help eliminate false positives and recommend some small changes that can make a big difference. With 30-40 new security threats appearing each month, the only way to stay ahead of this curve is to develop an on-going program for vulnerability assessments where you have regular visibility into your exposures.”
