Intellinx, IDI Combat Threat
Intellinx, Information Design announced the launch of a campaign to promote the Intellinx solution for insider threat protection
NEW YORK -- Intellinx Ltd. and Information Design Inc. (IDI) announced today the launch of a joint-campaign to promote the Intellinx solution for insider threat protection. Close partners of IBM, the companies are focusing their efforts towards meeting the needs of the IBM install base of large and medium size corporations in the North East region. IDI has long been widely regarded for its expertise in IBM products and technologies including Tivoli security.
Many organizations now recognize that the foremost threat to corporate information security comes not from outside the company, but from dangers lurking within. Recent surveys show that approximately two-thirds of fraud and identity theft cases are perpetrated by authorized insiders using legitimate commands in internal business applications.
Intellinx is a critical part of the organization's security infrastructure for combating insider threat. It provides comprehensive recording and analysis of end-user activity across internal business applications. Configurable business rules analyze screen content, track user behavior patterns and trigger alerts on exceptions in real-time. Internal auditors can immediately zoom-in on specific suspects and replay their actions in a screen-by-screen, keystroke-by-keystroke manner. Intellinx tracks internal business processes in multiple applications across multiple platforms including mainframe, AS/400, client-server and web.
"We are excited about partnering with IDI to raise awareness of the severity of the insider threat crisis facing large organizations today, and to offer a solid solution", says Yovel Badash, Intellinx's vice president of US Operations. "IDI's expertise and reliability, combined with their knowledge of the needs of IBM customers, makes them a key, valued partner."
"When I was first introduced to the Intellinx concept, I immediately saw the opportunity for our security practice" says Ian Kinkade, IDI's CEO. "Throughout many engagements at customer sites the insider threat has always been an issue and is now one of the most challenging tasks on the CISO agenda. The Intellinx solution opens a new dimension to auditors and information security officers offering unparalleled visibility to user activity at the application level."
