PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- GWAVA announces a new release of its flagship GWAVA anti-virus, anti-spam product. This new release introduces GWAVA's new cutting edge SMTP scanner. The scanner is distributed as an ISO with the GWAVA product so customers can create their own spam scanning appliance using their own hardware. The scanner is extremely effective in stopping the majority of spam from ever entering the GroupWise system.
It has recently been reported that the percentage of spam in email is reaching as high as 90%. The sheer amount of spam has created burdens on IT managers and email recipients and has cost users countless hours of sifting through emails. Using the new SMTP feature in GWAVA will reduce the storage space required by the post office, speed up the email system and substantially cut down on the amount of spam that email users receive.
GWAVA remains integrated with top-rated anti-virus vendor Kaspersky for aggressive protection against viruses and malware. Hourly virus updates keep its customers safe from the latest cyber attacks.
GWAVA has always protected GroupWise from the inside out by scanning the encrypted message store and weeding out spam and other malware from the GWIA, POA and MTA. GWAVA 4.5, with its new SMTP scanner, is the only anti-spam, anti-virus software that can provide total protection for its GroupWise users.
