Fujitsu Integrates PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR With Passlogix's v-GO Access Accelerator Suite

The Fujitsu PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR combines the Fujitsu PalmSecure biometric authentication technology embedded in a PC mouse with software that seamlessly integrates with third-party single sign-on (SSO) solutions. The Fujitsu PalmSecure sensor uses a near-infrared light to capture a person's palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against pre-registered users' palm vein patterns. With PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR, users are no longer required to remember passwords, eliminating the threats posed by misplaced passwords, as well as the considerable cost of creating and re-assigning new log-in credentials. PalmSecure LOGONDIRECTOR is also equipped with Session Manager functionality, ideal for healthcare and other IT environments in which multiple users need to access a single computer by requiring users to authenticate themselves separately. Individual activity is tracked, promoting security and compliance best practices by limiting users' access to only those applications and files for which they are pre-approved.
