With the granting of this patent, Fidelis Security Systems becomes the first in the DLP industry to develop a technology platform-deep session inspection(tm) platform-capable of high-performance network content analysis, resulting in an enterprise's ability to actually prevent the leakage of protected or sensitive information such as credit card data, personal identity information, classified data, digital assets, and intellectual property.

The patented deep session inspection technology in the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System(r), Fidelis XPS(tm), provides for the reassembly of complete client-server conversation streams, applies decoders, and/or decompressors, and analyzes the resulting data stream using multi-dimensional content profiling and/or weighted keyword-in-context. This patented method of deep session inspection detects the extrusion of the data even if the data has been modified from its original form or document type. The decoders also can uncover hidden transport mechanisms such as e-mail attachments and detect unauthorized encrypted sessions-stopping data transfers deemed malicious. The Fidelis XPS patented technology analyzes in real-time, not via disk, with network speeds exceeding Gigabit-speed-giving enterprises the assurance that prevention of data leakage is possible at the speed of business.
