Aqua Finance Choses St. Bernard to Fight Adware
St. Bernard Software announced that Aqua Finance has deployed iPrism, St. Bernard's Internet-filtering appliance
SAN DIEGO and Wausau, Wis. -- St. Bernard Software, Inc. (OTCBB: SBSW), a global provider of security appliances and hosted solutions, including secure content management, archiving and collaboration, today announced that Aqua Finance, Inc has deployed iPrism, St. Bernard's Internet-filtering appliance. The water treatment financing and account-servicing firm chose iPrism to increase worker productivity and prevent malware, spyware and adware from infecting corporate computers.
Prior to implementing iPrism, the IT department spent up to four hours per week managing these security issues. Through its use of the appliance, Aqua Finance has removed nearly all of the potentially hazardous pop-ups and viruses that previously plagued approximately 20 percent of computers on the network. The company now experiences faster computer processing, and the IT team is able to focus on business continuity while operating more proactively.
Aqua Finance's employees are also more focused and productive thanks to iGuard, the 100% human-reviewed URL database that powers iPrism. The appliance is automatically updated to ensure all inappropriate Web sites are being filtered accordingly. The detailed reporting and real-time monitoring features offered by iPrism further assist the management team with overseeing employees and the network. For example, iPrism's robust, drill-down reports are a significant value-add to Aqua Finance, as they quickly illustrate what sites have been visited, as well as which online outlets have been blocked. This provides management with the confidence of knowing that the Internet is being utilized constructively within the work environment.
"We wanted to ensure that our work environment supports productivity goals while reducing the risk of corruption to our computers," said Brett Yirkovsky, network technical analyst and telecom administrator. "Our workers were previously overwhelmed with continuous pop-ups, among other forms of malware, spyware and adware. iPrism prevents these programs from slowing down or infecting employee desktops. Most importantly, iPrism prevents access to inappropriate Web sites, and provides us with the visibility we need to investigate specific workstations or network issues."
