Reconnex, Tenable Team
Reconnex has entered into a partnership with Tenable Network Security
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Reconnex, the expert in electronic risk protection, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Tenable Network Security, Inc., a leading developer of security management solutions and creator of the popular, award-winning Nessus vulnerability scanner. The solutions of the two companies are complementary and will allow enterprises and government agencies to create additional context for security teams, enabling them to identify and remediate security issues when they occur.
Reconnex's iGuard content monitoring appliances, deployed at network ingress/egress points, perform real-time content analysis at network speeds, regardless of protocol, file type, or communication channel. The iGuard is the only content monitoring appliance that captures and stores all content traversing the network for later risk discovery, event correlation, and analysis, resolving confidentiality breaches associated with electronic risk policies and sensitive or confidential content in real time. Tenable's security management solutions perform vulnerability scanning, passive network monitoring, log analysis, security event management, and remediation workflow. The Tenable Security Center manages asset vulnerability levels, configurations, logs, system discovery, system intrusions, and deviations from typical system behavior. When an incident occurs, data from the Reconnex and Tenable solutions produces a comprehensive audit trail of what occurred and can minimize incident response times to security breaches.
"Using the Reconnex iGuard in combination with the Tenable suite of security solutions provides The George Washington University with a centralized way to consolidate and manage real-time security," said Amy Hennings, assistant director, information security, at The George Washington University. "The Reconnex/Tenable partnership gives us the additional context and intelligence we need to increase the effectiveness and value of our security management deployments."
