PRESS RELEASE

Reston, Virginia – September 21, 2017 – ThreatQuotient™, a trusted threat intelligence platform innovator, today announced a strategic partnership with Phantom to enable defenders to work more effectively and to better inform end-to-end security operations and incident response workflows. As a leader in security automation and orchestration, Phantom helps organizations work smarter, respond faster, and strengthen the defenses of the entire security infrastructure by automating repetitive tasks associated with detection, investigation, and response. ThreatQuotient has partnered with Phantom to develop a Phantom App with the broadest and deepest capability of any integration between Phantom and a threat intelligence platform. The app seamlessly integrates into existing Phantom Playbooks, allowing users to pull enriched, contextualized data from the ThreatQ Threat Library to automate decisions related to critical security events.

The steady emergence of security solutions the industry welcomes each year is bewildering at times and the true value to the organization has quickly become dependent on its ability to pull together all of their existing technologies in a meaningful way. Integrations, interoperability and unified use of threat intelligence are the pillars to ensuring companies are making the most of their existing security investments, while still ensuring analysts have streamlined and automated workflows. The integration of ThreatQ and Phantom’s platforms allows for automation of the full incident response workflow, including: preparation, detection and analysis; containment, eradication and recovery; and post-incident activity. It also supports a variety of use cases, such as fully automated end-to-end responses to malware alerts. Together, ThreatQuotient and Phantom are providing powerful support for a company’s entire threat operations.

“Threat intelligence and automation are the bread and butter of successful security operations, and are a key part of solving today’s complex cybersecurity challenges such as an overload of data and lack of resources,” said Haig Colter, Director of Alliances, ThreatQuotient. “ThreatQuotient is thrilled to partner with a leading orchestration vendor like Phantom, and we look forward to sharing continued innovations that bring powerful, contextualized threat intelligence to security analysts across industries.”

The Phantom App for ThreatQ enables customers to use the ThreatQ Threat Library as a customized enrichment source throughout the full incident response workflow and empowers analysts to make decisions based on highly detailed information and context. In addition, the app can record newly identified indicators, events, and files producing a feedback loop that further enhances the ThreatQ Threat Library for future analysis. For example, instead of blocking any and all IP addresses, analysts can now have curated data from their ThreatQ platform to make more granular and selective blocking decisions. Utilizing a threat intelligence platform that empowers threat operations and management through prioritization and noise reduction enables defenders to know exactly what threats and alerts to work on first.

“Partnerships play a major role in developing smoother security operations, especially for highly sophisticated security teams and users,” said CP Morey, VP of Products and Marketing, Phantom. “The depth of Phantom’s integration with ThreatQ is a prime example of how partnerships can lead to a more collaborative approach to security, and ultimately strengthen an organization’s defenses.”

ThreatQuotient is a proud sponsor and presenter at Phantom’s Inaugural Security Orchestration Conference, which kicked off today, September 21, 2017. Chris Jacob, Global Director of Threat Intelligence Engineers at ThreatQuotient, will be presenting on the emergence of automation and orchestration tools, as well as the company’s partnership program with Phantom, at the event on Thursday, September 21, at 4:45pm ET.
