Brooklyn, NY, Jul 14, 2018 -- A new Software-as-Service (SaaS) vulnerability assessment and collaborative penetration testing platform -- designed to simplify and speed cybersecurity risk assessment for any internet-connected device in a cost-effective manner, but particularly for the protection of critical infrastructure -- was unveiled today in advance of Black Hat USA 2018.

Proactive Risk Inc. unveiled PENTESTON® publicly. The platform allows novices and experts to collaborate and easily examine network devices, custom web applications and internet telecommunication systems for security bugs and flaws.

The product was incubated at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering Future Labs, the first

public-private partnership with New York City tasked with creating a sustainable incubation program focused on increasing the success rate of new ventures and generating positive economic impact.

"We are proud to help launch the first product from NYU Tandon's new Veterans Future Lab: Proactive Risk's PENTESTON®. We anticipate it will be the first of many successes to come." - James Hendon, NYU Tandon Veteran Future Lab Director of Operations.

This new platform gives rapid visibility to internet-connected devices, misconfigurations, bugs and flaws, and actively integrates with products such as Security Scorecard, Tenable Security Nessus, OWASP Zap Proxy and 20 other tools to assist humans in finding bugs and flaws.

  • Built on the CATSCAN® methodology used by hundreds of critical infrastructure companies.

  • Performs secure configuration compliance.

  • Designed as a Security Playbook for Novice, Intermediate and Experts.
