PRESS RELEASE
SAN MATEO, Calif. – Dec. 8, 2015 -- BrightPoint Security™, a leading Threat Intelligence Platform provider for automation, sharing and insight to active cyber threats, today announced the new Sentinel View application which integrates its BrightPoint Security Command Platform with IBM QRadar security intelligence technology. Now organizations can achieve increased effectiveness when performing threat investigations and maintain their normal workflows from within the QRadar interface. BrightPoint worked closely with IBM’s development team to facilitate this rich integration to achieve secure and anonymous sharing of threat intelligence for visibility into emerging risks and threats across digital ecosystems.
The new Sentinel View application is available to the security community through IBM Security App Exchange, a marketplace where developers across the industry can share applications based on IBM Security technologies. As threats are evolving faster than ever, collaborative development amongst the security community will help organizations adapt quickly and speed innovation in the fight against cybercrime. Sentinel View makes the sharing and enriched investigations into threat sightings easy within the IBM Security QRadar interface.
The new Sentinel View application leverages IBM Security QRadar, the company’s security intelligence platform which analyzes data across an organization’s IT infrastructure in real-time to identify potential security threats. Leveraging QRadar’s new open application programming interfaces (API), the new Sentinel View application allows BrightPoint Security and IBM customers to drill down on incidents from within QRadar and immediately see an indicator’s risk score, velocity of the attack within the environment, and gain insight into other organizations that are also impacted by the threat.
“We have been closely working with IBM on this integration and are pleased to deliver the combined strengths of our security threat intelligence platforms to customers,” said Rich Reybok, BrightPoint CTO. “With BrightPoint, QRadar users can anonymously share specific indicators of compromise with their industry or other trusted organizations. BrightPoint’s risk scoring and velocity information combined with community-driven threat information helps QRadar customers focus on the most relevant and active cyber threats.”
BrightPoint delivers the industry’s fastest threat detection solution based on a patented sharing model adopted by organizations across vertical industries and the National Health ISAC (NH-ISAC). BrightPoint is the first and only patented threat intelligence solution designed for secure sharing that addresses privacy and liability concerns. BrightPoint uniquely delivers safe, secure, non-attributed sharing of threat intelligence. With Sentinel View being fully integrated into QRadar, security teams don’t need to learn a new application and can enhance their workflows to benefit from the depth of visibility that BrightPoint provides on critical threats.
