PRESS RELEASE

Fremont, CA – May 24, 2011 — Zenprise', Inc., a leading provider of mobile device management software, today announced the availability of Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway™ , the industry’s first of its kind offering that provides multilayer protection against malicious or blacklisted applications. With Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway, IT administrators can now provide employees the freedom to download and install applications on personal devices, while ensuring enterprise resources remain protected from security breaches and rogue applications.

The Company today also announced enhancements to the Zenprise Enterprise App Store for iOS and Android operating systems, as well as encryption for Android based devices. Both Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway and Zenprise Enterprise App Store are available as part of the latest version of Zenprise MobileManager™.

According to ABI Research, the worldwide application industry will achieve 44 billion cumulative downloads by 2016, led largely by iOS devices as well as Android and Windows Phone 7. Given this rampant increase, Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway provides a comprehensive set of tools that enable IT to balance employee choice around applications with the enterprise’s need to protect against harmful and malicious applications.

“Mobile applications are powering demand for smartphones and tablets in the enterprise, but left unchecked, downloading an app from untrusted sources can undermine an organization’s ability to remain secure,” said Chris Hazelton, research director for mobile and wireless at The 451 Group. “Employees who download an application to their mobile device may be putting themselves as well as the organization at risk, exposing personal, proprietary and sensitive data. IT needs to balance the desires of mobile consumers with the mandate to keep enterprise data secure. To meet both requirements, IT should put in place tools to manage the device, but also control the deployment and use of mobile applications.”

Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway

Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway provides application whitelisting and blacklisting capabilities for both iOS and Android devices. This functionality ensures that only approved applications are given access to the corporate network, including personal or consumer applications installed on employee-owned devices. Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway automatically blocks users violating a whitelist or blacklist by quarantining their devices from the enterprise network. Zenprise Secure Mobile Gateway is included in Zenprise MobileManager 6.1, available today.

New and Improved Zenprise Enterprise App Store for Smartphones and Tablets

Zenprise today also announced it has added new features to its recently introduced Zenprise Enterprise App Store. Designed to enable administrators to quickly configure and provision enterprise applications on smartphones and tablets while freeing up workers to remain productive, Zenprise Enterprise Application Store now includes IT “Favorites,” making it easier for users to find safe and approved business applications to download. Further, Zenprise MobileManager will automatically detect when a user installs an application outside of the approved list and prevent blacklisted applications from launching.

Additionally, this latest offering expands data encryption capabilities for Android devices running version 3.0 or greater. The Company already supports data encryption at the device level for BlackBerry, iOS and Windows Mobile platforms.

“Enterprises are struggling with the consumerization of IT—especially as more and more employees want to use their personal smartphones and tablets for work. Now we are seeing the next wave – the explosion of mobile applications--creating a whole new management concern,” said Jayaram Bhat, CEO of Zenprise. “Zenprise’s visionary approach in supporting enterprise mobility with multilayered security solutions continues to enable our customers to meet these challenges. Zenprise’s solutions address not just device management but also mobile application management and security, even for the most complex enterprise applications and infrastructures. In other words, we’re solving tomorrow’s problems today.”

Zenprise MobileManager featuring Triple Defense Security

Zenprise MobileManager provides IT with the control and visibility needed to proactively manage and secure mobile devices, applications and corporate assets, while empowering mobile workers to be productive from anywhere at any time. Many processes are automated and managed over-the-air or on-device to eliminate guesswork and save time for IT and help desk teams so they can focus on meeting SLAs. Zenprise MobileManager makes it easier to track, support and secure iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Google Android and Windows Mobile devices throughout the mobile lifecycle.

Unlike other solutions currently available, Zenprise provides customers with a triple layer of security that operates at the device, application and network tiers; thereby providing a security solution that goes everywhere the data goes, securing every point in the enterprise’s mobile environment. Zenprise Triple Defense is comprised of three components:

Dynamic Defense: provides contextually aware device security, automatically detecting potential threats and intelligently adjusting security settings to mitigate risk
