MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Vernier Networks today announced that Kanematsu Electronics Ltd. (KEL), one of Japan’s most recognized and respected IT solutions providers, has selected the award-winning EdgeWall product family for its Network Access Control (NAC) solution. KEL, with more than 60 resellers and distributors, will join Vernier’s Vantage Partner Program as an Elite member. This announcement comes at the heels of KEL’s recent study on the trends in the security market in Japan. The survey found an urgent need for a NAC and compliance solution.

“We have seen a strong demand for NAC solutions from our existing customers. This increased interest validates our strategy to complement our existing product portfolio with a leading NAC solution,” said Mr. Yoshiike, General Manager of the Networking Division for KEL. “Vernier’s outstanding experience in NAC, its track record of successful implementations in complex environments in Japan, and its technical support capabilities were key factors in our selection.”

“Vernier holds a very deep respect for KEL’s reputation and skills. KEL will complement our existing distributors in Japan with a very large customer base and a differentiated sales model which will immediately impact Vernier’s business in Japan,” said Eric Colard, vice president of channel and business development for Vernier Networks. “We are very honored to have been selected by KEL and pleased to expand our presence and commitment to the Japanese market.”
