PRESS RELEASE

Richardson, Texas, February 23, 2009 " Sipera Systems, the leader in real-time Unified Communications (UC) security, today announced it has joined the RSA Secured' Partner Program and RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), has certified interoperability between the Sipera IPCS UC security product family and the RSA SecurID' two-factor authentication solution. This certification signifies that a technical partnership has been established which is designed to increase security for joint customers of Sipera's Unified Communications enablement solutions and the RSA SecurID' two-factor authentication solution. The RSA Secured certification enables enterprises to use RSA SecurID two-factor authentication to help secure their VoIP phones without the need for any special clients or phone configuration. Now, authenticating the user of an IP phone is as simple as authenticating the user of a PC for accessing network resources. The result is significantly strengthened communications security, which can boost privacy compliance in industries such as healthcare, financial services and others where records and transaction privacy is protected by statute or best practices. "Enterprises of all types are realizing a wide range of benefits from adopting Unified Communications, converging their voice, messaging, video and collaboration applications and unlocking new modes of interaction among employees, partners, suppliers and customers," said John Firnett, Vice President of Business Development at Sipera Systems. "However, security of these communications is paramount, especially when these interactions deal in mission-critical, sensitive information. By achieving RSA Secured certification with RSA SecurID technology, Sipera has brought greater simplicity in security for UC implementations." "We are pleased that Sipera has achieved interoperability between RSA SecurID technology and the Sipera IPCS UC security product family, as it is more critical than ever for our customers to increase the security and integrity of their valuable corporate assets," said D.J. Long, Senior Director, Corporate Development at RSA. "Our organizations are committed to mitigating risk to the enterprise by enabling open and secure access to data." The Sipera solution does not require clients to be installed on an enterprise's IP phones or special configuration of the phones because authenticating to RSA' Authentication Manager " the software server engine that powers the RSA SecurID system " is handled by Sipera's award-winning UC security appliances. Users simply use their IP phone to type in the RSA SecurID one-time password and their PIN to employ two-factor authentication. The Sipera security appliance manages the authentication process to the RSA SecurID solution. With the Sipera solution, enterprises are no longer required to deploy VPN routers at every home for VoIP deployments. This significantly reduces equipment management costs and interworking efforts, while simplifying the adoption of UC and the many benefits of secure communications with remote workers, branch offices, suppliers and customers.

The Sipera IPCS products are comprehensive, real-time UC security solutions that simplify and protect UC over any network and to any device. Backed by the extensive vulnerability research of Sipera VIPER Lab, the Sipera IPCS products provide threat protection, policy enforcement, access control and privacy in a single, real-time appliance. The product family spans multiple systems supporting up to 50,000 users.

About RSA SecurID The RSA SecurID system is as simple to use as entering a password, but significantly more secure. Used in conjunction with RSA Authentication Manager software, an RSA SecurID authenticator functions like an ATM card for a company network, requiring users to identify themselves with two unique factors — something they know (a password or PIN), and something they have (a hardware or software authenticator) — before they are granted access to secure business information.

About the RSA Secured Partner Program The RSA Secured Partner Program is one of the largest alliance programs of its type, bringing over a dozen years of experience and hundreds of complementary solutions together. RSA SecurID', RSA enVision', RSA' Access Manager, RSA' Digital Certificate Manager, RSA' Federated Identity Manager and RSA' Key Manager certification programs bring added assurance to customers that the solutions they are deploying are certified as interoperable with industry leading products, helping them achieve faster time to deployment and lower overall cost of ownership. The RSA Secured Partner Program reflects RSA's commitment to providing standards-based interoperability and mutual vendor support to customers using its identity assurance and access management solutions.
