EMC division RSA has introduced two-factor authentication and identity assurance for the BlackBerry, opening the doors for new conversations about mobile strategies for the midtier and branch offices.Via a one-time password, RSA's SecurID token enables users to safely and securely access their offices' wireless networks to get into e-mail and other applications. It also provides a way for companies to roll out increasingly sophisticated security solutions to protect data and mitigate risk on mobile devices.
"By providing a more convenient and cost-effective strong authentication mechanism, we can help our customers gain the most value from their BlackBerry smartphone deployments by enabling more seamless and secure access to sensitive assets," said Sam Curry, RSA's product management group VP, in a statement.ChannelWeb
