LAS VEGAS -- MetaInfo, a leader in network and Internet Protocol (IP) address management solutions, will showcase its full line of network infrastructure and network access control solutions, including a new version of its award-winning Meta IP software, here at Interop Las Vegas, booth 441.

Making its debut at Interop 2006 is Meta IP version 5.7, a major upgrade to MetaInfo's market-leading product for IP address, DNS, and DHCP management. First introduced in 1995, Meta IP helps enterprises ensure the security, reliability, and performance of their networks by managing the processes that identify computers and allow access. Through its one-of-a-kind SAFE DHCP(r) architecture and SAFE DHCP Quarantine Appliance, Meta IP is the sole IP infrastructure management product to offer unparalleled deployment choices: choice of platform, choice of authentication and host integrity solution integration, and choice of standards-compliant, enterprise-class DNS and DHCP solutions.

With v5.7, MetaInfo has included a number of improvements to make it easier for customers to utilize Meta IP moving forward, including reengineering portions of the core technology. New features in v5.7 include the unique ability to manage both BIND 9 and BIND 8 services concurrently. MetaInfo is the only vendor to offer this capability.

Also being introduced at Interop 2006 is SAFE DHCP Quarantine Framework, a new version of MetaInfo's pioneering architecture for network access control. Designed as an alternative to 802.1x and other proposed standards for network access control and protection, SAFE DHCP Quarantine (formerly known as SAFE Registration) is an extension to MetaInfo's standards-based infrastructure services that allows companies to monitor and control network access according to their unique policies. SAFE DHCP Quarantine Framework enables enterprises to isolate all systems attempting network access and integrate, without modifications, scanning, policy enforcement, and authentication solutions from SAFE Network Alliance Partners, including Check Point, Qualys, RSA, and StillSecure. SAFE DHCP Quarantine Framework is cross-platform and does not require costly hardware upgrades.
