PRESS RELEASE

DALLAS, Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Entrust, Inc., has added SSL Certificates for Intel Core(TM) vPro(TM) processors to its large portfolio of digital certificate offerings. This new capability, core to an identity-based security approach, will allow Intel Core vPro Technology customers to use encrypted access to enable remote maintenance of enterprise PCs.

"Entrust is a pioneer in embedding and deploying digital certificates to servers, desktops, browsers and even RFID chips," said Entrust President and CEO Bill Conner. "This strategy enables us to move our digital certificates to that next layer -- securing PCs and providing additional value for security-conscious organizations."

Entrust SSL Certificates for Intel Core vPro processors are purchased by enterprises or organizations to authenticate IT staff to more securely administer any PC using Intel Core vPro technology on a corporate network -- even when the machine is turned off or disabled -- for maintenance and other necessary tasks. Thanks to the embedded roots and the deployed SSL certificate, the channel between the networked machine and the administrator is encrypted.

Intel will embed Entrust certificates in the latest 5th Generation Intel Core vPro processors and chipsets.

"Intel Core vPro processor-based platforms are designed to deliver cost-savings and control for businesses while improving security and remote manageability," said Lisa Watts, director of Intel's Business Client Enabling Division. "Unlike software-only security solutions, these advantages are built right into the Intel Core vPro processors, which are enabled by Entrust's trusted certificates."
