Clearswift Updates Web And Email Security Products

Clearswift SECURE Web Gateway and Clearswift SECURE Email Gateway include enhanced features as standard
London, UK, 1st October 2010 – Clearswift, the software security company, today announces new features to its award-winning web and email security products. The SECURE Web Gateway 2.2 will now include Safe Search functionality and the SECURE Email Gateway 3.2 will have the capability of scanning images, with its ImageLogic addition. Unlike other gateway vendors, these features are included at no additional cost.

The Web and Email Gateways already provide a comprehensive and integrated solution to manage inbound threats (including spam, malware viruses and phishing), compliance, data loss and web 2.0 technologies such as social networking, enabling enterprises to confidently embrace today’s complex business landscape.

These new features provide additional functionality to meet the demands of business now and into the future:

Web Gateway:

Safe Search: Prevents inappropriate content being returned in web searches from Google, Yahoo and Bing. It enables an organisation to deploy controls on web searching at the Gateway level instead of having to implement it across a company’s multiple desktops, saving time and resources.

Transaction log export: The automated extraction of the transaction log files to an FTP server enables customers to use the data more effectively for business management and compliance. It provides the Web gateway with greater interoperability with third-party reporting tools, such as Webspy and Sawmill.

Email Gateway

ImageLogic: Clearswift’s image inspection technology scans emails for inappropriate images. It can be used to prevent unsuitable email content being received or sent out. A company’s intellectual property can also be protected by registering an image, such as a new product design, which can then be prevented from leaving the organisation. This provides an additional level of data loss prevention.
