PRESS RELEASE

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Q1 Labs, the global provider of total security intelligence solutions, today announced business operational continuity for large enterprises via a new version of its flagship QRadar product – QRadar High Availability (HA). The new product is an automated appliance providing high availability capabilities for companies’ SIEM solutions, and is uniquely designed with an embedded database, making it easier for companies to scale their SIEM solution, and providing them with the safety net of having an always-on security intelligence solution.

Q1 Labs’ QRadar incorporates security information and event management (SIEM), risk management, log management and network behavior anomaly detection (NBAD) into one scalable platform that provides users with a full view of their network, or “One Console Security”™. QRadar’s integrated HA capabilities address the demand for scalable solutions for mission critical use cases, and enables IT users to process, correlate and store more logs, events and network activities without interruption and ensures continuous network security monitoring, without having to raise capex via first-gen complex hardware/software purchases.

“SIEM solutions are increasingly becoming the anchor tenant of the security intelligence infrastructure in organizations. As a result, customers are using QRadar to get in front of external threats from cyber criminals and manage the growing demands for macro-compliance. Because of this they need an integrated and automated way to ensure that QRadar continues to analyze and store all data in the event of a system or network failure, without having to purchase expensive pro services time – QRadar HA satisfies that need,” said Jason Corbin, Director of Product Management for Q1 Labs. “Unlike our competitors, our HA solution is delivered in a plug-n-play appliance and requires no professional services as well as no 3rd party fail over management software.”

QRadar HA is fully integrated with the recently announced 1605 Event Processor appliance, providing more than 6 terabytes of local storage and enabling automatic fail over and full disk synchronization between systems – a capability that is typically only delivered by deploying expensive storage options. Now with QRadar HA, high availability of the data storage, analysis and user interface can all be easily deployed through plug-and-play appliances.

QRadar HA is implemented by leveraging several embedded high availability functions to deliver the following capabilities:

* Automated failover: supports seamless failover between the primary and HA appliance in the event of primary appliance or network fails * Built-in disk synchronization: replicates all data such as configuration, logs, flows and reports from the primary appliance to the secondary HA appliance * Reduced cost of ownership and downtime: reduces cost of ownership over solutions that require complex database clustering and third-party failover management products * Easy to deploy: HA is plug-and-play and configured through a simple to use wizard-based user interface

Pricing and Availability

QRadar HA is available immediately at a starting list price of $24,000 (USD).
