PRESS RELEASE

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) - Xceedium Inc., the leader in Zero Trust Access Control solutions, today announced that it has extended the enterprise capabilities of its flagship product, the GateKeeper appliance, by tightly integrating it with market-leading remote access solutions from Cisco Systems, F5 Networks and Juniper Networks. Integration will enable Xceedium's customers in the federal government and closely regulated financial services, healthcare and utilities industries to rapidly deploy the GateKeeper to protect large enterprise networks and cloud computing environments, as well as take advantage of the capabilities of SSL VPN products to create more powerful privileged access solutions.

The GateKeeper secures and audits access from privileged users -- company employees, partners, consultants and IT staff -- to computing infrastructure. It allows organizations to enforce access control policies and contains users in a manner that enables them to see only the network resources to which they have access. In addition, it creates detailed, centralized and actionable audit trails so that organizations can effectively manage risk and maintain compliance with the security requirements of PCI, FISMA, NIST-800.53, FIPS, HIPAA, NERC and other regulations.

Customers often use the Xceedium GateKeeper to control, contain and audit the activity of privileged users who are remotely connecting to an enterprise network through an SSL VPN. With the new release of the GateKeeper, once a user has authenticated to the corporate VPN, the GateKeeper transparently picks up their credentials and uses them for all subsequent privileged access requests. The GateKeeper now includes tight integration with the dominant remote access security solutions -- Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances, F5 FirePass' SSL VPN and Juniper SA Series SSL VPN Appliances.

"Xceedium designed the GateKeeper to easily integrate into the largest enterprise networks," said Glenn Hazard, CEO of Xceedium. "Our new release significantly expands our enterprise product ecosystem by adding support for the leading remote access solutions from Cisco, F5 and Juniper. Our customers can now use the GateKeeper to extend the security of their existing SSL VPN infrastructure to seamlessly control and audit privileged access of third party vendors and remote administrators."
