Portland, Ore., -- December 9, 2014 -- Tripwire, Inc., a leading global provider of advanced threat, security and compliance solutions today announced a partnership and technology integration with Lastline, Inc. that provides mutual customers with the ability to detect and defend against breaches caused by advanced and evasive threats. The collaboration is part of Tripwire’s Technology Alliance Program (TAP), designed to allow a wide variety of vendors to team with Tripwire to deliver innovative security solutions.
Tripwire® Enterprise is an adaptive threat protection solution that continuously captures, monitors and records system and file change data on a broad range of enterprise server and endpoint platforms. Lastline’s breach detection platform performs full-system emulation of hardware, including CPU, memory, and other system components, to identify advanced and evasive malware. The combined solution provides a comprehensive end-to-end approach to detect, and respond to active breaches before detrimental effects occur. With attack information from Lastline, Tripwire Enterprise users can detect known and unknown threats that evade traditional network security appliances.
“Advanced persistent threats are evolving at a rapid pace and yesterday’s security technologies are no longer sufficient to defend against today’s threats,” said Rekha Shenoy, vice president of business and corporate development for Tripwire. “The integration of Lastline and Tripwire Enterprise provides customers with the information they need to stay a step ahead of cybercriminals.”
Through the integration, Tripwire customers gain access to Lastline’s Advanced Threat Intelligence. This knowledgebase is continuously updated in real time with active command and control (C&C) servers, objects with zero-day exploits, toxic web sites and malware distribution points identified as having breach intent.
“Lastline’s open architecture allows Tripwire customers to complement existing security investments and optimize current SOC and IR workflows with very little effort,” said Brian Laing, vice president of products at Lastline. “With the joint solution, customers can detect environmentally-aware malware from the network to endpoint systems and respond in real time.”
With more than 9,000 customers across 91 countries, Tripwire advanced threat, security and compliance solutions protect over a million critical servers and endpoints. Tripwire protects many of the largest, most sensitive IT systems and networks in the world, including nine of the top 10 utilities in the U.S., eight out of the top 10 global retailers, seven out of the top 10 global telecommunications firms and over half of the Fortune 500.
