McLaughlin will commence his new role later this month following his departure as president and CEO of VeriSign. Upon joining, McLaughlin will also become a member of the Board of Directors at Palo Alto Networks.

Palo Alto Networks released several financial metrics today, including that it has achieved a bookings run rate well above the US$200 million mark and that its cashflow from operations has been positive for five consecutive quarters.

Within its recent fiscal year ended July 31, Palo Alto Networks doubled its employee count.
