“There is no reason why remote offices should suffer from poor security, or why organisations should take any risks of security breaches or malware spreading to their network from a remote location. Remote offices require direct Internet connections and comprehensive protection against inbound and outbound attacks. Often computers at remote locations are at a higher risk of getting infected or compromised than at the headquarters, where there is less competence or people don’t pay as much attention to security issues. The new FW-315 has been designed to meet these needs, offering remote offices high level security and reliable network connections”, said Antti Kuvaja, director of product management at Stonesoft.
StoneGate FW-315 provides comprehensive protection with Unified Threat Management (UTM) features such as web filtering, intrusion prevention for e-mail, HTTP, and VoIP, anti-spam for SMTP e-mail and anti-virus scanning for e-mail and HTTP protocols.
Built-in firewall clustering, server load balancing and the possibility to utilise reserve ISP capacity on overloaded Internet connections, ensures continuous network services.
With four interfaces StoneGate FW-315 offers also the possibility for small-scale network segmentation. The appliance is also available with an ADSL+2 interface.
