SAN FRANCISCO— October 12, 2010 - nCircle, the leader in security and compliance auditing solutions, today announced a powerful new capability for auditing the configuration of any network device. The new version of nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager™ offers administrators the ability to gather detailed configurations of most network devices, regardless of make or model. Previously, configuration auditing tools required pre-built modules specifically designed for each specific brand of network device.

nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager (CCM) is a comprehensive, agentless configuration auditing and file integrity monitoring solution that automatically discovers configurations and compares them to any of the more than one hundred built-in policies, identifying non-compliant configurations and alerting on high-risk changes and mis-configurations. Unlike agent-based systems, CCM does not require any software to be installed on the target system, so every asset on the network can be continuously scanned including:

* Routers * Switches * Firewalls * Servers * Workstations * Network devices * Point of sale (POS) systems

nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager achieves this with a customizable scan module that can connect to almost any network device using credentials and utilize platform-specific commands to determine configuration details. The module is easily configured by network administrators through CCM’s graphical user interface.

“Just because you can’t install an agent on a device no longer means that you can’t audit it for operational integrity – a requirement in compliance standards. nCircle’s agentless, precision auditing and scanning technique is unique and enables complete configuration auditing coverage for the entire enterprise network,” said Tim Keanini, Chief Technology Officer at nCircle. “This new customizable scan module in nCircle Configuration Compliance Manager is another market-changing innovation from nCircle that makes it easier for customers to improve security and achieve compliance.”
