PRESS RELEASE

ST. LOUIS (April 12, 2010) " Global Velocity today announced the commercial availability of the GV-2010, the industry's first 10Gbps network security solution that combines application firewall, content monitoring and filtering (CMF) and deep packet inspection (DPI) capabilities into a single device.

The GV-2010 offers innovative content monitoring and filtering using patented and patent-pending technology within the hardware platform to perform DPI resulting in a false positive rate of less than one percent " ensuring the appropriate use of sensitive information on even the largest data communications networks.

"The challenge facing cyber security professionals today is not only how to prevent unauthorized access to their networks, but also how to identify and stop sensitive information from leaving their networks in an environment of increasing network complexity and bandwidth requirements," said Greg Sullivan, chief executive officer of Global Velocity. "Couple this with the fact that current content scanning tools slow down network performance and worker productivity in an economy when all organizations need to maintain optimum efficiency. The GV-2010 provides the high speed, low latency, extremely accurate pattern matching solution that organizations require to protect key assets in today's fast-moving, interconnected world."

The GV-2010 enables organizations to enforce their network data policies " within the hardware " by identifying, classifying and controlling massive amounts of information as it moves across the network. The solution alerts network administrators when sensitive data has been compromised externally or internally " regardless of port, file format, protocol or evasive technique utilized. The GV-2010 monitors all applications that are transporting content " from email to social media sites to custom built applications containing mission-critical information.

By moving what other devices do in software to a programmable hardware core, Global Velocity's solution combines the best qualities of software and hardware security into a single, secure hybrid platform, creating a more efficient and effective way to manage and control high volumes of network traffic. Other key features of the GV-2010 include:

* Classification and control of all TCP protocols and applications * Policy options for allow, block, and alert * Content inspection of 400-plus file formats * OSI Model Level 4-7 inspection * Up to 8 million concurrent flows

Based on the industry standard, MicroTCA, the GV-2010 can be easily integrated into an existing network in as little as 15 minutes. Implementation is "plug-n-play," requiring only a single device to aggregate up to 10Gbps of network traffic.

After deployment, the GV-2010's highly redundant architecture delivers exceptional availability (beyond 99.9 percent). In fact, critical components in the MicroTCA-based chassis are hot swappable and can be serviced without taking the device offline or interrupting normal network operations.
