PRESS RELEASE

March 2, 2010 " Waltham, MA and Philadelphia, PA " Fidelis Security Systems, the market leader in comprehensive information protection solutions for the prevention of data breaches, and Safend, the leading provider of endpoint data protection and leakage prevention solutions, today announced the availability of the integration of both companies' core product offerings. The partnership combines Safend's extensive endpoint capabilities and user awareness and Fidelis' award-winning network data leakage prevention solution with comprehensive protocol coverage. The offering will be made available to new customers and to the companies' respective installed bases.

The joint solution will leverage Fidelis' Simple Content Inspection Protocol (SCIP) and the Fidelis XPS Connect system, the first product in the industry to offer content awareness as a service, to enable customers to apply consistent, integrated policies to content in use at the endpoint and content in motion on the network. The Fidelis XPS Connect VM virtual appliance will enable large enterprise and government customers to distribute this solution throughout the entire network"in data centers, regional offices, and branches.

"Anti Data Leakage (ADL) is not just about identity information (PII) or stopping stupid [and never was] and buyers are figuring this out. I liken Information Protection to painting a three story house. Many ran out and purchased an eight foot step ladder. As they go to paint the top two floors, many offerings simply lack the architecture to scale," said Joshua Corman, Research Director, Enterprise Security Practice at The 451 Group. "Fidelis' session aware architecture is scaling quite well - with clients using it to assist with Aurora-Era Advanced Persistent Adversaries/Threats (APTs). On the endpoint, Safend continues to deliver incremental value to its clients - pushing beyond cursory offerings from AV incumbents. Challengers individually, The 451 Group is interested to see their combined impact."

Additionally, Safend has joined the Fidelis Technology Partnership Program which is designed to enable the development of joint solutions that combine Fidelis XPS technology with partners' technologies in support of customer requirements. The program enables Fidelis technology partners to leverage Fidelis XPS' leading-edge technology including sophisticated document decoding, content analysis and policy engines.

"We are pleased to partner with Safend to give global enterprises more options in securing their most important data—from the traffic traversing the network to data residing on the endpoint," said Peter George, President and CEO, Fidelis Security Systems. "Together, we look forward to helping our customers build content-aware enterprises."

"The inclusion of Safend in Fidelis Security's Technology Alliance Program is further validation that our endpoint solution is the leading product in the market today," said Gil Sever, founder and CEO of Safend. "This partnership offers exciting new opportunities for Safend and Fidelis Security to reach new customers as well as those in both of our large client portfolios. We are confident that the power of the integrated solution will further enable users to protect their sensitive data from loss, theft and malicious attacks."
