Hakan Pernsved succeeds Goran Marby

September 22, 2009 - Stockholm, Sweden

Mr. Pernsved has been appointed acting CEO of AppGate Network Security a leading information security vendor, succeeding Goran Marby who have led the company for seven years. Goran Marby will become the Director General for the Swedish government body PTS (The Swedish Post and Telecom Agency)

Since joining AppGate in 2002 mr Pernsved has held the position as VP of Global Sales and will be instated as CEO 1st of October.

To secure a "smooth transition" Marby and Pernsved will work closely between now and the planned exit of Marby in October. "I'm delighted to receive this opportunity. As CEO, I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead and driving the business forward by focusing on our core competency and satisfying the most demanding customers." Says mr Pernsved.
