PRESS RELEASE
Milpitas, CA – December 4, 2014 – Array Networks (www.arraynetworks.com) today announces the availability of MotionPro, its advanced SSL VPN client for mobile devices. Available for iOS and Android, MotionPro provides secure mobile access for native, Web and remote desktop applications. In addition, its integrated enterprise app store streamlines the provisioning and management of users, applications and devices.
Available in conjunction with Array’s physical and virtual AG Series secure access gateways, MotionPro is ideal for securely addressing the growing demand for enterprise mobility and current trends toward bring your own device (BYOD). Using MotionPro, IT can configure on-demand Layer-3 VPN connections for native business apps or leverage Array’s SDK to enable VPN connections on a per-application basis. In addition, MotionPro provides a secure portal and a secure browser where remote desktops and Web-based applications may be safely utilized on tablets and smartphones.
Leveraging MotionPro’s integrated mobile application management capabilities, enterprises can manage and streamline the deployment of native and Web-based mobile applications to both personal and corporate-owned tablets and smartphones. In addition, businesses can ensure security for mission-critical applications in mobile environments through a combination of device-based identification, 2048-bit SSL encryption, advanced authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA), data containerization and remote wiping capabilities.
Needing anytime, anywhere access to documents, files, applications and email from any device, including newer-version mobile devices, the City of Santa Barbara was among the first Array customers to adopt MotionPro. After installing the freely available MotionPro client on their iOS and Android-based devices, City employees experienced significant gains in productivity. Moreover, with the combination of the Array AG Series gateway and the MotionPro client, the City gained a layered security approach that ensures sensitive information is protected from interception or inappropriate access.
“Array’s AG Series with MotionPro supported mobile devices better than any other product we evaluated,” said Cazi Brasga, Information Systems Supervisor of the City of Santa Barbara. “It was very important to us to be able to provide high-quality secure access from smartphones and tablets, which MotionPro enabled, in addition to providing support for secure access to laptops and desktops via traditional SSL VPN.”
“Array Networks is committed to ensuring that our customers can securely and efficiently access their information no matter what device they are using,” said Rich Siegel, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Array Networks. “The City of Santa Barbara is a perfect example of the wide variety of customers for which Array Networks is consistently providing top-notch, cost-effective solutions.”
