PRESS RELEASE

September 15, 2009 - A new version of TrustPort Net Gateway, a product designed for antivirus and antispam protection of computer networks, has just been released for sale. Significant improvements have been made in the detection of spam, which now works with new advanced technologies of e-mail domain signature. Also, antispam control better reflects the language of received messages. Working with the program is much easier thanks to a configuration wizard.

Following TrustPort USB Antivirus 2010 and TrustPort U3 Antivirus 2010, TrustPort Net Gateway 5.4 is another product in-line for the next year. The software is designed as a complete security package for the protection of corporate networks from internet threats and unwanted content. The new version enhances both the antivirus and antispam methods. The goal is higher and more accurate detection of malicious codes and spam.

In order to refine the spam filter, the new TrustPort Net Gateway now supports standards DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), DomainKey, SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and Sender ID. The first two mentioned standards provide electronic signatures for the outgoing mail server, the other two enable checking of messages on the basis of rules stored on the domain server. Within the DKIM, TrustPort Net Gateway enables both verification of signed messages, and the signing of messages.

Improvements have also been made to the technology for detection of suspicious nodes, which, on the basis of heuristic analysis, blocks incoming mail from a mail server, being currently exploited by spammers. Another fundamental change is the revision of rules for the analysis of incoming mail, which allows efficient filtering of spam in languages with different character sets, for example Chinese.

Regarding web traffic, information can now be viewed concerning all implemented data transmissions, including online monitoring of ongoing transactions. The bases of the antivirus filter are its several scanning engines, which together ensure that TrustPort Net Gateway is at the forefront in the detection of malicious codes in global comparisons.

A new feature, which will surely please network administrators, is the configuration wizard, which can be run straight after the installation, or at any time during running of the program. It allows easy setup of the mail gateway, even for administrators with no experience with previous versions of the program.

TrustPort Net Gateway in its new version supports 32 and 64-bit Windows operating systems, mainly Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7. Products TrustPort Antivirus 2010 and TrustPort PC Security 2010, designed for the protection of personal computers, will also be released very shortly.
