PRESS RELEASE
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Tanium, provider of the unified endpoint management and security platform proven in the world’s most technically demanding organizations, today announced significant platform and portfolio enhancements reinforcing fundamental needs in speed, simplicity, and scale for endpoint management and security.
A new study from Forrester Consulting[1] describes how IT leaders today face pressure from all sides, from compliance and systems management to security. “To cope with this pressure, many have invested in a number of point solutions,” notes Forrester in the study. “However, these solutions often operate in silos, straining organizational alignment and inhibiting the visibility and control needed to protect the environment."
Tanium helps address those challenges by offering a single, unified endpoint management and security platform with the breadth to manage and secure endpoints, on-premises or in the cloud. New Tanium features and benefits—engineered using direct input from customers and unveiled during Tanium’s annual CONVERGE conference today—include the following:
· Tanium Core Platform 7.4, which includes numerous user-experience updates that allow security and operations practitioners to make decisions based on the rich data provided by Tanium, leverage updated Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and enhance security to better support off-network and cloud-hosted instances.
· New enhancements that enable better management of cloud endpoints, including visibility into unmanaged virtual machines (VMs) in cloud environments, enriched asset inventory and reporting about cloud infrastructure, and immediate visibility into what virtual containers are running in public and private cloud deployments.
· Enhanced support to configure, report, and enforce security and other configuration policies across a range of operating systems, including Windows and MacOS.
All of the enhancements announced today will be available to Tanium customers in early 2020.
“A majority of businesses struggle to gain end-to-end visibility of endpoints and the overall health of their IT systems. Without full visibility and control, IT teams leave themselves open to cyberattacks and other forms of disruption, and an overreliance on point products only adds to the problem,” said Pete Constantine, Tanium Chief Product Officer. “With the enhancements announced today, we further extend the Tanium platform to help solve our customers’ hardest IT challenges. We don’t compromise on speed, simplicity, or scale—even in the most complex technology environments.”
