SAN FRANCISCO,  CA – March 1, 2016 -  The Internet Security Alliance (ISA) received the prestigious “Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Leadership in Cyber Security” from the SC Magazine at their annual awards dinner held in conjunction with the RSA Conference in San Francisco this evening.

"ISA is a shining example of leadership of the entire information security industry," said Illena Armstrong, the VP Editorial at SC Magazine.

In presenting the award to ISA President, Larry Clinton, Armstrong specifically cited ISA thought leadership in creating the cyber security Social Contract.  Social Contract is endorsed by the House GOP Task Force on Cyber Security and the model for President Obama's 2013 Executive Order on Cyber Security.  Armstrong further noted the ISA's work in developing a successful program so corporate boards could better understand cyber security.

"ISA is extremely honored to receive this recognition, and we see it as a testament to the efforts the ISA board have committed to in helping to build a sustainably secure system," Clinton said.

The cyber security industry recognizes the SC Awards as a crowning achievement for IT security professionals. Entities selected as winners go through a rigorous judging process that includes testimonials, industry assessments, and additional research. Each year hundreds of candidates are reviewed. According to SC Magazine, a panel of judges hand picks the winners for their outstanding service, qualifications and achievements in cyber security.
