PRESS RELEASE

NOVATO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Mar 01, 2010 Radiant Logic, the market leader for virtual directory solutions, today announced the latest release of its popular RadiantOne Identity & Context Virtualization Platform. RadiantOne Suite 5.2 enables enterprises to "manage globally and act locally" in high-volume identity environments with distributed user populations, such as customers, partners, employees, and disparate data sources, including directories, databases, web services. The suite consists of Virtual Directory Server (VDS) Context Edition 5.2 and Identity and Correlation Server (ICS) 5.2.

The new RadiantOne Suite highlights the recent introduction of the Global Identifier & Profile Builder, which allows enterprises to create a unified list of all identities and their profiles drawn from various applications, databases, and directories—without having to centralize security. The new suite also introduces a key feature for SharePoint and other portals. The Membership & Policy Builder radically simplifies SharePoint authentication, and extends its authorization and profile management capabilities.

Manage Globally, Act Locally

Identity and context virtualization allows enterprises with highly distributed, heterogeneous sources of identity to "manage globally and act locally," by delivering a complete view of identity while enabling enterprises to enforce security at the data source level. This innovation comes at a time when focusing IdM efforts outside the enterprise is not only essential for security purposes but is also tied to enterprise growth. This move to externally-focused, high-ROI Identity management initiatives began with web access management (WAM) and federation and has extended to SaaS and cloud computing.

"Managing globally and acting locally is all about using RadiantOne to build a single, unified view of all identities and their profiles, without having to centralize your identity data into a single repository," said Michel Prompt, CEO of Radiant Logic. "This next generation of RadiantOne extends this process by simplifying access control and rule management in SharePoint deployments."

RadiantOne SharePoint Integration

With powerful identity correlation and join capabilities, RadiantOne builds complete user profiles across multiple heterogeneous data sources and delegates credentials checking to the appropriate backend sources. This operation drastically reduces the integration effort for SharePoint authentication and allows SharePoint to move beyond its limited number of authentication sources.

RadiantOne's new Membership & Policy Builder for SharePoint and other portals enables enterprises to dynamically assign users to roles based on attributes found in their profiles. With RadiantOne, rules can be built out of attributes from many data sources and be as complex as required by the authorization and profile policy. On the data management side, this alleviates the time-consuming challenge of defining and maintaining static role members. On the configuration side, RadiantOne determines which identities should be assigned to a particular role, enabling SharePoint to enforce finer-grained policies. In addition, RadiantOne's persistent caching mechanism ensures that SharePoint receives the required authorization information quickly, regardless of the speed of underlying data sources.

According to Dieter Schuller, VP of Business Development at Radiant Logic, "With the rise of SharePoint in the enterprise, and the need to extend it to external populations, there's a huge need to provide unified access and enable finer-grained authorization. This release of the RadiantOne Suite, with its new Membership & Policy Builder, delivers a simple, cost-effective way for companies to accelerate their SharePoint deployments."

RadiantOne Products In Action

VDS Proxy Edition is a classical virtual directory server for lightweight, super-efficient user-directory integration projects.

VDS Context Edition is a full-spectrum virtualization solution for identity and context integration, scalable for high-volume, heterogeneous environments.

ICS enables correlation and synchronization of data across disparate identity silos for a unified view of identity data across applications and security domains.

Since 2002, Radiant Logic has helped customers worldwide with secure identity integration that doesn't disrupt underlying architectures. RadiantOne products share an advanced virtualization and data modeling engine, for seamless integration and a smooth upgrade path. Companies can choose the edition that suits their current needs, at the right price, then scale up easily as future needs require. RadiantOne virtualization is the key to an identity and contextual service in a heterogeneous world—ideal for portals, user-centric deployments, and federation.
