PRESS RELEASE
SANTA CLARA, CALIF.,- February 3, 2010—McAfee, Inc. (NYSE: MFE) today announced McAfee Security Quickstart Services for small to medium-size businesses (SMBs). The services are designed to deliver full lifecycle service support from implementation assistance, to user training and ongoing maintenance, to optimization of security management best practices.
McAfee Security Quickstart Services are available as standalone services or in convenient bundles. The standalone services include:
McAfee Security Quickstart Training: Includes one-year of unlimited access to a large library of McAfee product and technology video training modules. This is a cost-effective way for one IT person, or a whole team, to learn about products and methods for securing their business.
McAfee Security Quickstart HealthCheck: Helps to automatically assess the security readiness of a SMB's security policies with the click-of-a-button by interpreting security policy settings, comparing them to a selected baseline and providing metrics based on at-risk settings.
McAfee Security Quickstart Experts-On-Demand: Includes McAfee remote expert consultants that take the effort out of implementing, optimizing and configuring McAfee-based security solutions. The sessions are provided by certified, proven resources with enterprise level expertise and can be recorded for future playback use.
"Our research shows organizations that put more effort into preventing attacks can end up spending less than a third as much as those that allow themselves to be at risk," said Darrell Rodenbaugh, senior vice president of global midmarket for McAfee. "We understand that SMBs have limited resources and expertise, so we're giving them what they need to get up and running quickly, for very little cost. With McAfee Security Quickstart Services, we can now offer enterprise-level solutions that help our SMBs gain the knowledge they need to keep their business secure."
"We understand the frustration that comes from our SMB customers that don't have enough time or resources to get their products running properly," said Greg Spraggins, owner of NSI Networks, a McAfee reseller. "With McAfee Security Quickstart Services, we can now offer innovative Web training, heathcheck and consulting services that complement our current capabilities for assisting customers in their ongoing use of McAfee technology."
Unlike any other security vendor, McAfee is also delivering these services in affordable bundles to optimize the use of McAfee suites. These bundled solutions include the McAfee Security Quickstart Pack for Endpoint Protection, the McAfee Security Quickstart Pack for Total Protection for Secure Business and the McAfee Security Quickstart Combo Pack for total wellness of ePolicy Orchestrator'. These services are available now in the United States and Canada. For more information on these services and the combination packages, please visit www.mcafeequickstart.com.
