PRESS RELEASE
Reston, Va. – July 15, 2015 – IKANOW, which helps Fortune 1000 organizations continuously optimize enterprise cyber security, today released key updates to its Enterprise Edition Information Security Analytics platform. These updates allow organizations to measure and sharply reduce risk across the enterprise with high-throughput, data-agnostic analytics.
This new release of IKANOW’s information security analytics platform enhances several features critical to cybersecurity applications. The platform improves the functionality of existing security event and incident management (SIEM) tools and threat intelligence information by integrating multiple sources of internal and external threat intelligence data.
“The near constant deluge of breaches proves that the current security paradigm focused on endpoint security and SIEM solutions is broken,” said Chris Morgan, co-founder and president, IKANOW. “By moving beyond SIEM to incorporate robust information security analytics, enterprises can proactively and continuously improve their security.”
IKANOW brings together multiple sources of data, including SIEM, security analytics, and threat intelligence into an easy to deploy, scalable, and flexible platform that allows users to pinpoint and prioritize threats to their network. New features released today include:
· An intuitive and simple 3-step process to adding new source data — structured, unstructured or semi-structured;
· Combined data sorting and search capabilities, across disparate sources and formats;
· Use of logstash to integrate kibana and other third-party data analysis tools;
· Curation and fusion of data through combining data sources and visual association, enabling users to uncover patterns and improve decision-making.
“In this release, we apply adaptable analytical techniques and measurement tools that automate data ingestion and analysis,” said Victor Buonocore, director, product management, IKANOW. "These features offer visibility that can save weeks in detecting and defending against cyber security threats.”
Buonocore added: “The vast amount of security information now available requires a new approach to cybersecurity that leverages innovative big data management, correlation and visualization technologies that enable information security professionals to protect their network with vigor.”
