SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – July 1, 2015 – Fortscale Security Ltd., a leader in the rapidly growing field of User Behavior Analytics for enterprise security, today announced a new partnership with Cloudera, the leader in enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop™. The joint solution delivers a massively scalable Hadoop-based user behavior analytics solution to the enterprise that is the foundation for responsive enterprise security. The partnership enables customers to build end-to-end Hadoop-based security analytics solutions that help collect, manage and analyze logs to effectively discover security threats.

As a key component of the partnership, Fortscale recently certified its User Behavior Analytics solution on Cloudera Enterprise. Fortscale’s integration takes advantage of core security features such as Kerberos and Apache Sentry, thus enabling compliance with enterprise security standards and allowing customers to leverage Fortscale for SIEM augmentation and discovery of insider threats with user behavior analytics.

“This partnership with Cloudera is a natural, as our user behavior analytics solution was designed and built on a Hadoop-based architecture from its inception,” said Idan Tendler, founder & CEO, Fortscale. “We’re excited to be certified by Cloudera and look forward to serving their customers by offering a security analytics solution which is coupled into their Hadoop infrastructure. With Fortscale, Cloudera users can now better protect themselves by quickly identifying and responding to suspicious activity and potential threats.”

Hadoop has played an integral role in Fortscale’s development as it enables the power required to support large-scale organizations, historical depth of data analyzed and the breadth of data sources that are mandatory to support an effective User Behavior Analytics solution. Cloudera customers are already reaping the benefits of the partnership. One customer is now building a Hadoop-based log management solution and can therefore deploy an integrated security analytics solution that leverages Hadoop capabilities by integrating solutions such as Fortscale.

“Fortscale’s User Behavior Analytics coupled with an enterprise data hub from Cloudera enables our joint customers to discover insider security threats within their organization. This integrated solution empowers organizations to uplevel their fight against cyber threats and further enhances the business value that is delivered from an enterprise data hub,” said Tim Stevens, vice president of business and corporate development at Cloudera.

Fortscale’s solution supports multiple use cases including discovering targeted attacks that leverage compromised user credentials, pinpointing rogue users and profiling malicious users' access to data. Fortscale customers have benefitted from predictive intelligence capabilities, the ability to evaluate and mitigate risks, obtaining fast results and achieving an improved ROI on their existing SIEM investments.
